I try to create an environment where students have the safety and freedom to inquire into the world in a meaningful way. 

Emotional well-being

From the first day I want the students to know that I care about their needs, worries and interests.

Clear expectations

From the start of the year onward, I want our community of learners to have the security of knowing that all of our expectations are going to be created together. We will grow and learn as a team! 

Flexible Seating

I try to encourage students to use all of the areas of the classroom which might enhance their learning experience.

Classroom Community

In our classroom we take the time to help each other inquire and grow together. We support one another and use our strengths raise everyone up 

The real world

We use what we discover in the classroom to try an impact the world around us. For example, taking a day to pick up litter in our larger community.
